Hola a todos mis estudiantes!  Soy muy feliz ser su maestra...es un honor!

This week for 8th Grade...we are in Unit 1 "Hola, que tal".  Today we worked in the book doing practice on sections "Contextos" and "Fotonovela".  We will continue this in class tomorrow.  Quiz on Friday on vocabulary/phrases covered.

This week for 6th/7th Grade...we have been learning more about Spain and it's culture as well as begin talking about Hispanic Heritage Month.  Weekly quiz will be on Friday of the vocabulary we are covering.  A study guide will be given tomorrow.

We are looking for guest speakers that are hispanos in our community and are making a difference and want to share something with our class about their culture/language.  Applications will be available on Friday.

Also, progress reports were sent home today.  I will be updating/adding more grades during Fall Break so keep checking on ParentVue/StudentVue for updates on your grades.  Make sure you're studying at home for the weekly quizzes/tests.  Also, make sure you're keeping up with the warm-up sheets which will be another assignment that will be turned in on (this) Friday for a grade.  If you're missing any grades, come see me to make them up asap!!!

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

Buenas Noches,
Srta. Nelson :)
