Another great telenovela (Spanish soap opera) to help you learn Spanish was made by England's BBC channel and is called Mi Vida Loca. Most of the scenes are high school appropriate and should use viewer discretion including parents in watching scenes with the students. Here is the link below...

Today we began watching the first episode of Destinos, a telenovela that teaches the basics of Spanish conversation. You can review the video at the following link.

Today (all except 3rd pd. where we did prep. for the PSAT) we did a Bingo Game for the vocab. on pg.38.
PSAT Testing is tomorrow morning for 8th grade. Get a good night sleep tonight and eat a good breakfast tomorrow morning.

La Semana de las Conferencias
Hola a todos!
Today we had a "Ser Verb" pop-quiz. The class average was from 60%-75%. This will be entered as a classwork grade and used to form differentiated groups for instruction for next week.
Make sure that you all go to your conferences this coming week and are ready to show your class work samples from each class, explain your strengths/weaknesses in your classes, and your goals to your parents and teachers.
Remember, you can introduce your parents to your teacher using the following phrases that we've learned in class. Some of them include:
Ellos son mis padres. (They are my parents).
Ella es/El es mi maestra/maestro. (This is my teacher).
Le presento a mi maestra/o. (I want to introduce you to my teacher.)
Esta es mi maestra. (This is my teacher).
I've really enjoyed learning Spanish with you this first quarter. Keep up the good work and reevaluate how you can be an even better language learner this next quarter!
