I.                     Matching:                                                                                                                                                   All vocabulary under “La clase”, “Verbos”, “Dias de la semana”, and “Palabras Adicionales – question words.” This vocabulary is all in your graphic organizer for Unit 2. Also, you can find it on page 76 of your Descubre 1 Textbook.

La Semana de las Conferencias

Hola a todos!

Today we had a "Ser Verb" pop-quiz.  The class average was from 60%-75%.  This will be entered as a classwork grade and used to form differentiated groups for instruction for next week.

Make sure that you all go to your conferences this coming week and are ready to show your class work samples from each class, explain your strengths/weaknesses in your classes, and your goals to your parents and teachers.

Remember, you can introduce your parents to your teacher using the following phrases that we've learned in class.  Some of them include:

Ellos son mis padres.  (They are my parents).
Ella es/El es mi maestra/maestro.  (This is my teacher).
Le presento a mi maestra/o.  (I want to introduce you to my teacher.)
Esta es mi maestra.  (This is my teacher).

I've really enjoyed learning Spanish with you this first quarter.  Keep up the good work and reevaluate how you can be an even better language learner this next quarter!

Passport Project DUE TUESDAY 9/19/17 (tomorrow)

I appreciate all of the sweet hugs and kind words about me being out last week (Thursday-Friday).  My grandmother has been having some health issues and I appreciate your kindness in many of you asking how she is doing. 


Since I was out, I will give a one day extension on the Passport Project.  Here are the requirements on the paper that I gave you on Wednesday. 

Un Intercambio (Language Exchange Program)

Directions:  You will be traveling to a Spanish speaking country and living with a local family to learn more about the language and culture.  You will create a passport that will include various features.

1.  Some of you all chose Spanish names.  Practice at home introducing yourself to your family members.  (Soy...../I am...)  Also, you can tell someone where you want to visit/travel. (Quiero ir a.../I want to go to...)

2.  We did a Find Someone Who Activity.  Here's some of the vocabulary used:
